For sale is a New York Cases “Aztec” leather 2 x 4. This is approx 2 years old and has been hardly ever used. Price is $250 plus actual shipping costs.
It was bought directly from New York Cases by a friend of mine. At the time the owner still had some stock to sell, but I believe they have closed down now for good. Their live website is long gone now but you can still see the old content here through the magic of the WayBackMachine website. You don't see too many of these cases over here on the West Coast. The most notable New York Case owner I know of is Vivian Villareal.
The case is fine smooth black top-grain leather with triangles stitched in a strip all the way around the top and bottom. The interior of the tubes and the pocket are lined with blue/green suede leather. The exterior pocket is approx 13" long and has loop top that would allow something slightly longer inside it. It also has a zip along the side of the pocket. The strap is matching black leather with a silver metal belt buckle. My friend added a black rubber shoulder strap from a camera bag that fits perfectly and looks like it was designed for it but could be easily removed if you didn’t like it.
The case has a distinctive triangular design that allows it to stand upright by itself. It will accommodate butts and shafts to a maximum length of approx 31". (There's maybe another 1/2" of play in the padding at the top and bottom of the tubes) They can be inserted either way around.
Condition is about 90% perfect. All zips are perfect, no rips or tears or large scuff marks on any of the leather and the tube linings are perfect.
