I have a 1998 Paul Mottey cue for sale. It is a 12 point ebony and burl cue with holly veneers. It has a solid ivory joint and ivory diamonds in the ringwork at the joint, wrap and butt. It has a lizard skin wrap. It also has ivory diamonds in the butt cap along with large ebony diamonds, and the butt cap is solid burl.
The joint is the best part. It is a solid ebony pin, which is actually the forearm coming through the ivory joint, and threaded for a true wood on wood fit. It makes the cue play great and feel very responsive in your hands.
Paul signed the cue in one of the points 4/98. The cue has been played with over the years, but never abused or repaired. It has the two original shafts, both with ivory ferrules. One has a Mori tip and one has a Hercules tip. They are both 13mm. The cue is light, roughly 18.5oz.
I have had this cue for many years and just don't play pool anymore. It might be time to pass it on. I am looking for serious offers on the cue, no trades. Cash talks. I am not interested in giving it away. Everyone likes to have a number to start at, so i will list it for $4995.
