SOLD!! FS: old Scruggs sneaky pete Rosewood?

SOLD to TATE.

I purchased this few months ago from an esteemed board member. Since then I acquired few more "fancy" Scruggs :D

This is an old Tim Scruggs sneaky pete with a shaft that is about 12.50 to 12.75 mm and cue weighs around 18.5 ounces. Exact measurement will have to wait until I return home this weekend from a business trip. Cue looks like old rosewood, has that nice reddish brown color to it. TS is stampted on the buttcap.

Butts and shaft are in good shape for the age of the cue. The shaft has some minor dings in it, not cuts in the wood. Just a few small dents. The butt has a scratch up by the joint that has been there for at least 4 years judging by the color of it. The rest of the butt is in good shape.

Nothing major wrong with the cue. The butt is straight and the shaft has a tiny roll. Don't know what tip is on it.

This was my first Scruggs and I liked it so much that I bought three more. My second sneaky pete is for sale as well.

$350 including USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. PayPal (e-check) is preferred or USPS Money Order only. Both cues for sale offered for upgrade trade to a nice collectible cue.

If you haven't hit with a Scruggs, this is a good way to get indoctrinated, and possibly hooked. Do your two SP's hit similar to your fancier ones? I only ask because I know he made some of these from house cues but I assume the shaft was from scratch.

I actually like the hit of this cue over the purpleheart sneaky. Whereas my other friend (who may or may not reveal himself on the board) prefers the purpleheart.

The comparison the the "fancy" one is a bit tricky since I play the fancy one with Universal Smart shaft most of the time.

Not to pump up my own cues, but from purely hit perspective, these sneakys are really good if not better than the fancy stuff. But I don't s*** and hit is personal preference, IMHO.

I'm just too vain and wanted the ones with veneers /inlays and stuff. I have not been disappointed with any Scruggs I bought so far - four.

Here's one fancy one I got - not for sale.

Wish I the cash....

Good hitting cue that I've owned and wanted to buy back. Just don't have any free cash right now.

Chris, thanks.

I'm on a business trip and can't ship it until Saturday at the earliest. I hope that's OK with you. Since I "know" you, you can pay me later - I know you're good for it.

This one is SOLD.
