I know production cues don't typically do well here, but this one has been with me from my first three ball run to my first 2 pack, so I'm emotionally attached and would rather see it go to a good home than just drop it on ebay. If there's not enough interest in the next few days, I'll take it there, but I'd just hate to do that to her.
It's a Predator 3k6, made in 02 or 03, back when Predator's manufacturing was still in North America. It's somewhere between 19 and 20.5 oz, but I bought it so long ago I can't quite remember (the weight is adjustable). Comes with one Z shaft, one Z-2 shaft, Predator branded joint protectors, Predator velvet envelope, and a Predator towel that clips to your cue case. Everything rolls straight together and apart. I've had the wrap pressed professionally to make it VERY smooth, and there are no dents in the playing area of the shafts. The Z-2 shaft has 5 or 6 dings in the laminate below the playing area (you can see a couple of them in the pictures), but my cue mechanic recommended we leave them there instead of trying a repair, since they don't affect play. Both tips are Moori Slows and the tip on the original Z has less than 10 hours of play on it. I take very good care of my cues and clean & burnish them after every play session.
Blue book on the butt with just the original Z shaft is $765.00. Asking $OLD shipped OBO for the whole package. If you don't want two shafts, I'll sell the butt and Z2 for $OLD, as I've had a few offers to buy the original shaft separately.
Trades: I'll consider trading for:
- a nice 3x6 case plus cash
- a solid playing cue under $300.00 plus cash. This would be for a friend of mine, so it may take a little longer to get an answer on your offer. He's ready to upgrade from his Minnesota Fats cue that squirts like a Super Soaker to something decent. Specifically looking for a low end custom that plays extremely well, something with a low deflection shaft, or a reputable production cue at a price low enough that he can buy an OB2 and still stay at or under his $300.00 budget (he'll buy it from me for whatever value it in the trade). I don't think he's a fan of sneakies.
I'd be happy to answer any questions about the cue either here or on PM. It really plays well and I've loved it for many years, but my new cue is scheduled to arrive today and I just don't have a big enough case for everything.
