OK it's come to my attention that I'm older that dirt! I've already reached a point due to a few different health issues that I've semi-retired, no longer taking orders. I'll just be building cues at my pace to my specs and when and if I have any I want to part with I'll put them up on my website or let one of my dealers have them. ANYWAY the point is a buddy of mine walked through my garage and told me I should be a candidate for that TV show "Hoarders". I've got several projects which were put on back burners for one reason or another and I've decided to make some of my excess stuff available to the cuemakers here on this forum first. Let me stress the fact that I'm not selling my shop equipment! I have stuff that was to be included in my shop equipment but I didn't have time to finish certain things up or they weren't needed enough to take a priority. I'm not really pressed for the money so I'd be willing to listen to trade offers that do not include any equipment except a cnc shaft machine or full splice jig, and no production cues. I'd make someone a real special deal if they were to take it all. There's a lot more stuff I'll be digging out over time but like I said I'd like to have someone with a big truck come and take it all, I'll throw in lots of free stuff. I have a bunch of lathe chucks stashed away of various sizes and design. I've also got a couple of extra band saws but I want to see about a full splice jig before I part with them.

Here's a partial list of stuff I'll be letting go. If you have any questions I can be reached on Yahoo IM (my ID is cuesmith there too) , my email is sherm@shermcue.com and my phone is (513)553-2172. PM's here may take longer for a response but I'll also answer them.

1) Jacobs Rubberflex Collet Chuck with collets from 1/16" through 1 3/8" I think it had a LO tapered spindle lock but I can't say for sure what it is. Look at the pictures of the back... On ebay a guy has a couple of sets of these. he has with a "buy it now price" of $1200 I'm asking $800 + shipping.

2) This is a good start on a very versatile tip lathe. I've been using one like it for 25 years. My old partner and buddy Dickie (RHN cues) built one also and I think he'll agree it's the nuts for tips! I thought about putting the Jacobs Rubber Flex collet chuck on it, the ID is big enough to work on either end of a shaft or butt, but that's probably overkill. Mine works fine with a 3 jaw chuck. The "pipe" was chucked up using tapers off the inside of the pipe and ground to the ID of the bearings. This way the outside of the pipe is true to the inside if you use any collets to support & center the tail end. Asking $150 + shipping

3) Old Cast Iron Dunlap shaper. (No motor) Would be great for knocking the corners off turning squares prior to turning. $50 if you pick up.

Some more good stuff!

Here I have a cheap table saw. $50 you pick up.
Next 2 pics are of an old Sears Craftsmen "Router Crafter" which when I purchased it a LOOOOOONNNNGG time ago, I actually had visions of turning shafts on it. Someone else had told me it was feasable, I never even mounted a router on it LOL $50 you pick up
And the last 2 here are what could be converted to a CNC router. It's a 2 axis rail system. Mount a Z axis for the router on the upper pieces, add some ball screws and a mach 3 controller and you're cutting inlays. (well almost! That's what the anti CNC people will tell you anyway! lol) It's not a big project. $250 you pick up

Lathes, lathes, lathes.

I have an old Atlas lathe that I purchased from a hobbiest gunsmith that was going into a nursing home. It had very light use and was well maintained when he had it. I've only stored it for 15 years. It has the milling attachment and all the gears. It has a motor but frankly I don't remember if it was 120v or 220v but it is single phase. The hole through the headstock is 7/8" I believe, no butt going through it but it's about 32" between centers, a butt or shaft can fit between centers. It would be a good second operation lathe for many tasks freeing up your main lathe. $750. you pick up

I also have an old (Atlas) Craftsman small metal lathe which could be used for ferrule work or as I use one. I have a laminate trimmer and jewelers saw blade set up in one perminantly for cutting ringwork. Works great! $250 you pick up

I also have 2 craftsman wood lathes with cast iron lathe beds, not the common ones with the round bar for a bed. One is small, probably best suited for pen making or something of that nature, $50 you pick up
the other I think had about a 36 inch bed for spindle turning and such. A crafty cuemaker should be able to make some sort of jig or rig out of it. $100 you pick up

Also not pictured I have a 5HP 60gal air compressor, another 5hp 20 gal compressor and a 2 HP dust collector system all gathering dust. Negotiable If anyone has any specific questions contact me. The contact info is in the first post.
