For sale is my Tim Scruggs sneaky Pete $SOLD or best offer. Very good condition. I'm not sure on the weight or have any idea on the shaft size. Both the shaft and butt roll straight. It does have a layered tip. NO TRADES... The cue is in original condition and NOT refinished

On eBay

Not good or smart to advertise a cue here that has several bids on eBay.
Once it got a bid on eBay you should have marked this post sold.
Not an opinion Just ethical.

Lol, ethical, you do you, and I'll do me. I have bought on here and eBay plenty of times. As you can read my eBay listing "I reserve the right to end auction early"
I thank you for your concern. That's totally an opinion, why would I mark it sold, if it is NOT sold?
FYI, I posted here before eBay

sold

Because it is sold. If you reserve the right to cancell the auction if you sell it somewhere else before a bid that is fine. Once you get bids it is sold. Then if you cancell you are reniging on the deal. Only a jerk would do that. Wake up and deal fairly with your buyers.

He's not reniging on anything, he openly let the bidders know he may sell it locally instead. If they choose to bid, they are aware of that. If he pulled that without letting the bidders know in advance, then you would be correct

Thank you Mac, if your not interested in buying the cue, like my mom used to say M.Y.O.F.B
If you have something to say, PM, I'll prolly ignore you though

That is not true. I had this many times happened on the bay.
Say, you did have a bid on the item so, according to you it is sold right? You go to AZ and say that item is sold. Then in an hour or two you receive email from the bay saying that bid placed on your item has been canceled. Guess what? Bidder has the right to cancel a bid at any time as long as it is 12 hours before the auction ends or within an hour of the time bid was placed.
So, you are simply f...ed here.
My point is - do rush to bash seller on head...especially if you do not know the details. You used strong words in your post. I would apologize to seller. But that is my opinion.

renig

It was offered to the highest bidder on eBay. Once a bid is made if it is cancelled out that is a renig. To cure this it could have been started at the price he wants or put a reserve on it. Then it could be cancelled fairly before sold or the reserve was met. It has not been cancelled yet so no harm done. If it is commited to the highest bidder and you have bidders my point is you don't try to sell it out from under them somewhere else and call yourself ethical.

IMHO, you have very.....stretched understanding of being ethical. What exactly is unethical here? Seller is trying to get maximum money for the item. And yes, he sells here and on ebay. And he would go with highest seller. In his description he clearly stated that he has the right to cancel auction at any given time. SO, by placing a bid on the item bidder agrees with seller's terms. It would be unethical ONLY IF seller did not mention that in description.
You can call me unethical or whatever you want but, i see nothing wrong here.
And i still think that you owe seller an apology. Calling someone a jerk over the internet...what could be easier huh? Try doing the same face to face.

cue 47

I don't know you cue 47. and I havn't called you a jerk. I did say that only a jerk would jerk an auction from his bidders after commiting to sell to the highest bidder. You havn't done that and I don't consider you to be a jerk.
What is right is right. What is wrong is wrong. There are rules to ethical business. When one reserves the right to cancel an auction if an item is sold somewhere else, it should be understood that he may cancel the auction before any bids are made. If you don't want to sell under a given price put a reserve price on it or start it at the price you want.
I sure hope that all AZers would agree with this thought and deal fairly with one another. And No I am not one of your eBay bidders. I just see something with a potential to be unethical and am pointing it out.

Seeing as the cue is now SOLD, I thought it might be ethical to NOW state that the cue is SOLD.
