FS: Two Viattorre Shafts 3/8x11

Due to circumstances beyond my control, my Viattorre cue butt didn't make it in my hands. My money has been refunded, but Jackson told me to keep the shafts. I don't have anything that fits them, so here are the details (I'll post pics later...at work now):

Hard rock sugar maple (some sugar marks)
Viattorre modified Euro taper
29" Length (I believe...haven't measured)
3/8 x 11, wood in shaft threaded (no insert)
Ivorine III Ferrules
Moori M tips
white phenolic joint collar with double black phenolic ring design
plastic joint protectors
edit: 13mm (can't believe I forgot that) ;)

Neither shaft has been chalked or played, perfect condition.

Asking $100 a piece shipped. pm me if interested.

If you don't mind, what happened to the butt?
My buddy is waiting for one and I'm curious to know if it was an ivory / customs thing.

WOW! Good thing I changed my mind on the ivory. Jackson said that it might not make it through customs. I had no idea that they were so strict on exotic materials. I just recently inquired about an ivory joint, and he told me that it would be a risk due to customs so I declined. Sorry for your loss, but thanks for the info. ARM

Sorry Koop. Didn't know if you were referring to me or not, but I did inquire about ivory.

Somebody recently contacted me about not getting their cue from Jackson because it was stopped in customs.It might of been thoffen but I was late in responding back to him.I recieved my cue with no problems a few months ago.I was under the opinion that Jackson was using prebanned ivory.I have to say I love my cue,I use it instead of my BCM or Skip.Maybe when i get my Zylr or Searing I will change but untill then My Via is my #1 playing cue.
 
Well I didn't want to say anything publicly on the forums, but I have to clarify what you guys said :).

Unfortunately that was my cue that was siezed by US Fish and Wildlife service. The cue had 8 ivory floating points, so there was a fair bit in it. I do not think that you are likely to have problems if you have an ivory joint or ferrule, but you are always taking a chance here.

As long as you are nice about it, Jackson's customer service is excellent and he will make right for the loss. He isn't trying to run a sham here and will tell you about the dangers. I don't think it's common, but it's obviously possible and not a fun thing to have happen.
