Wrapless Ebony Cognoscenti with Kingwood Handle, Green G10 pin, and Silver Dash Rings

The cue also comes with a custom 10" extension made by Joey Bautista and finished by Proficient Billiards.

Butt: 29" 15.7oz

Shaft 1: 29" 3.5oz, 13.2 mm
Shaft 2: 29" 3.6oz, 13.2 mm
Shaft 3: 29" 3.3oz, 12.6 mm

Shaft 4 (Revo): 29" 3.8oz - This shaft has some issues. There are scratches near the tip, which I have captured in the pictures and it also has a buzz inside, like something is loose.

Custom Extension made by Joey Bautista: 10" 4.8oz

Also throwing in an all black, three piece, Steve Lomax jump cue in excellent condition.

Another Price Drop! Now $2,133 shipped (US only) - This is a steal. I paid 3k just for the Cog with the original 3 shafts. I will pay for the escrow service through Proficient Billiards

Great price for a rare wrapless ebony Cog. Cue has been recently refinished by Proficient Billiards. Right after getting it back from the refinish I put a ding in the handle. I captured the ding in one of the pics below. That is the only blemish. Everything rolls straight together and apart.

Very good looking cue. But I don't know why anyone in their right mind would use a plastic joint screw on a cue that looks this good. It's the "Ford" mentality.

What an awesome player and collectable!
Seriously good price for the package too!
I honestly have yet to hit with a Cog that I didn't like.

This would be considered the Raptor, if it were a Ford.
You could drive that "plastic" G10 Glass Epoxy pin through the rim of your vehicle and it probably wouldn't even break.
It's often best to do a small amount of research before making
remarks about the quality of an item someone has posted for sale...

Thanks for the comments Franky4. I'm sure the G10 pin seems odd to someone who doesn't have very much background with higher end cues. Luckily someone looking to actually buy a Cog is going to know exactly what it is and why it makes it special.

I remember years ago bringing a nice cue with a buckhorn or phenolic joint to a bar tournament and one of the players telling me that all the really nice cues have steel joints.

I visited Joe’s shop back in ‘93. I watched him take one of his nicer cues, hold it over his head with both hands, and full force stab/jam it into a 2x4 wood stud in the exposed wall. Again, full force! It left deep hopes in the wood of the stud. Didn’t leave so much as a scratch on the joint pin.

That's pretty cool. The stuff is hard as steel. The really unique thing about this Cog is that it is a true ebony, wrapless cog. I have only seen one other wrapless Cog - I think that one was maple. Not too many of these out there.
