FSR v Anton Raga, Orcollo (8-15 June) and Gorst v Mocaibat, Banares, Biado (7-17 June)

FSR and Gorst in warming up in Philippines (for next upcoming major Spanish Open) matching up against top Filipinos in Sharks Billiard event in 3 days matchups. (race to 90, race to 30 each day). Sharks until recently streamed for free on Youtube many matchups between Filipinos and big name non-Filipinos. But recently they stopped free streams and now stream only available to those in Philippines who have membership to a Filipino gambling app.
Their house rules apparently is push or safe so basically no break and run after break. Few big non-Filipino names recently lost under this rule which they are not used to playing under.

In his first match, Gorst lost to Baseth Mocaibat 86-90. Mocaibat is a relative unknown but is a top Filipino player now and has been around for many years. Actually he may have highest Fargorate 861 now even though he does not have sufficient games only 200+ game now

After Day 2, Gorst said ref did not give him good rack

That Mocaibat is the real deal. He crushed Chang, and now beat Fedor. Yes, maybe Chang didn't play his best, but no one is beating two world beaters in super long races unless he too is a world beater.

Not to poo on this but given you can't polish a turd, home turf, home rules, home supervision, home occult, etc...
I'd like to see a scientific break down of quality of play vs quality of error. IOW, some portion of winning is the disabling of the opposition. See Battle Bots for more detail.
You have for instance a shrewd bunch with ample opportunity to observe these lone soldiers at work. All kinds of performance detail from the equipment through the humidity and beyond and ond and ond...

i wouldn't think that fargorate of baseth is anywhere near accurate. raga spots him, biado spots him, and that version of 10-ball is gaffy. raga didn't do too well in the states, either..

Ferrari just ran over Robocop like a rag doll FSR 90-70 over Orcollo in race to 90.
They are not playing "push or safe" unlike previous challenge matches vs non-Filipinos. And it is alternate break. Winning margin would be scarier if it was winner breaks
Very slow, hard to watch cos have commercial break (1-2 minutes) every rack for gamblers/betters to bet on each rack -these are for the gamblers
Such longgg races are so boring that even the players looked really bored. Some matches go on until 4am in morning so it is like endurance test who can stay awake the longest. It is something that can be turned on occasionally to see the score, not meant to be watched non-stop

Biado leads Gorst 83-74 in this race to 90 (alternate break). Biado has lead of 9 which is near unsurmontable for alternate break especially when he only needs 7 racks. Fat lady getting up to sing

Looks like Sharks got flagged. Gambling prolly. Gorst Biado must be done by now. It was 86 79 or something when I quit watching. Gorst rushed some key returns and one he hit perfectly landed just inside a perfect crawlspace for Biado. Seen the movie...

happy to read they got rid of that push or safe rule off the break. Hardly anybody wants to see that
