At 11-12 it was an easy FSR shot from the 8 to the nine to get to the hill and breaking....
Ruiz.... stayed ''down'' for a long time after the 8 ball starting rolling to thepocket, one of those life moments he knows of too well.... playing shape for the nine/win.
I enjoyed his acting out in the moment which was his he was having Fun.
It's 12-12 he's breaking.... he Has to roll out and give Captio good access to the 2 ball, but earlier Capito missed the exact same type shot to the same pocket with the three ball? earlier on he missed the pocket completely just like here.
And nice shape FSR from the six to the seven for the win.

When I watched the shot in replay he undercuts the ball a fair bit and the CB comes to the rail a few inches from the scratch in the corner pocket. If he cuts it thinner he’s obviously going closer to the scratch. Perhaps that was in the back of his mind?
 
At 41:27 I noticed intentionally how Ruiz's told his body don't forget to tell ''the man in the mirror'' stay ''down'' by doing a mimic/dip down ''going down'' on the shot ''after the shot''.
Friendly reminder to himself, stay calm in the moment AND..... ''don't jump up'' :))))))))))
 
Robbie threw the US Open title away literally by playing this shoot, I mean what in the hell was he thinking, he was up 12-10 (race to 13) and got all the momentums, there are 20,169 other better ways to play this shoot, shake my head, his girl friend could have played a better shot than this, my goodness me!!!

He wasn't thinkn' hundred percent, clock beep came into play, I've missed caroms of thee alike and never liked it.

Nerves, there are shots you play to win, when you try to play middle of the road you end up in the middle of the road, if Robbie is the player we think he is, he will never let this happen again, he will stroke that shot to win, don't let it get you down Robbie, you played a great tournament, there are literally millions of people who would have been proud to be where you were, you should be too, you went hill hill in one of the biggest Championships in the world in your sport, and played a great game, in my mind I will remember this as one of the greatest US Opens of all time.
 
Like the Gorst/Kaci final when Kaci scratched playing a safety. Cost em what $200K give/take.

Yeah that back/bank carom hit too high/trapped the ball, looked unmissable at first glance.
