Picked this up recently to fill my "need" of a Scruggs sneaky, but still want to get a purpleheart Scruggs so this is up for trade along with the Gilbert I have listed.
I believe this is an older Frey, but not completely sure of the age. It is a "players cue." It has a few nicks and slight bubbling on a couple parts of the finish, but the handle area is very clean. The butt rolls straight and the shaft has a slight taper roll. It is some very nicely figured cocobolo into straight grain maple. This cue plays exactly like the one Scruggs true sneaky I've played with, but half the price.
I will get specs up when I get my scales and calipers back in a couple of days. Until then I'll give some estimates:
Weight together: Approximately 18.5oz.
Shaft: Approximately 12.8mm
Joint: 5/16x14
If I forgot anything or you have any questions please let me know. Let me know if you want any other pics as well, since I can't post the rest of them until my first bump.
I'd prefer to trade this together with the Gilbert I have listed, but would trade straight up for:
1. curly purpleheart break cue
2. ebony pointed break or jump break cue
