Thanks
Everyone, thanks for the comments. It means a lot. I'm working on several different
color combinations. The blue combination is pleasing to eye so that will be a keeper.
I have a bloodwood on tulipwood, and a purpleheart on purpleheart in the works. I know
purpleheart in economical, cheap, but the stuff I use seems stable and playable.
Some of the ebonies and figured maples have moved on me so I tend to cored them.
But they do look nice. I want to start a thread on the woods that are stable and
playable. My experiences are minimal with these exotic woods. I built cabinets and things with oak, walnut, maple, mahogany, ....and I've seen them move and be stable.
Right now I'm trying to build a stable playable cue so I'm testing straight grain woods at the moment. Some of the dense woods also seem to be stable.
thanks again for the feedback,
ernie
