Hi Guys,

I've sold over 400 full splice blanks in the last 3-4 months and the one on ebay are my last blanks from the last batch. These are great for building your own customized full splice sneeky pete. I have a few of these made for me from various cuemakers and they all play great.

My new batch of full splice blanks are now available and these full splice blanks already have finish on them with a pre-threaded pin hole of 5/16-18. These Full Splice blanks are all straight but would require you to add your own custom pin. You may have to re-thread the pin hold if you decide to use other pin style...which should not be a problem for any cuemaker. Just fill the hole with epoxy resin and re tap to your desired thread. Add your own shaft and you have a customized player cue. You can also add wrap to these full splice blanks.

These full splice blanks have straight grain maple forearm with four points and four green veneers into South American Rosewood. These blanks has already been tapped for a weight blot but does not have a weight blot. All blanks measure 29" long without bumper and are about 1.27" at butt end and 0.845" plus at the joint.

10 F/S Blanks with no collar for only $650.00!!
10 F/S Blanks with Stainless Steel Collar for only $700.00!!

Special Pricing are offered to previous buyers that have purchased lot of 10 before from us.

If anyone is interested in them, please email me at dlam0718@gmail.com. Please note, I will be on vacation in the next 2 weeks and will respond to email if possible.

I have over 300 of these finished blanks available and will have another 2000 blanks coming before the end of the year with various type of veneers and woodbase. Also will have about 300 x 8 points full splice. If you want to received additional information or pre-order these, please sign up at our website: www.customcuesandtips.com.

Regards,

I was one of the first to order 10 of your first batch that you offered here. I asked for them to be oversize so that I could bump them a little if needed to straighten up the points. What I recieved was 10 blanks that are finish size, only needing sanding. Problem is the points are mostly differant lengths, many are warped and bad veneers in some. I feel they are clearly seconds or thirds an unusuable as far as cue making. Might be O.K. for a miniture kids cue or for starting fires but little else. 535.00 thrown out the window as far as Im concerned.

Dick,
I am so sorry you got hosed. Good business would be to refund your money. Thank you for the heads up. I didn't like the look of the predator sneaky petes anyway.

OK,
I also ordered 10 blanks thinking it was a GREAT DEAL on full-spliced blanks, RIGHT!!! They sat in the shipping box for about two weeks before I opened them and checked them out. That was a BIG mistake!! Three blanks had veneers missing chunks and are junk. Another blank had a pencil marking circled on a blemish in the maple forearm where it clearly shows it was not a usable blank. Two were warped, and 4 blanks had points at least 1/2" off and no way to true them up because they were at final sanding diameters. Another one was so ruff from router chatter that it couldn't be save unless someone knows how to put .020 thickness finish on it. Yeah right!! I'm with Dick, a HUGE waste of $$$, I'd make someone a good deal on a pile of fire starters. Sounded too good to be true and it was. Even if I was refunded my money I wouldn't recommend buying these rejects at any price. Clearly they were misrepresented. Another thing, Duc Lam you need to HONESTLY represent your items you sell here. Enough said.
Just say, "NO!!!.", John

No wonder they don't tell who made the blanks... prolly rejects... should be weary of those who do bad business on AZ.

Thanks to all for the heads-up on these blanks. Got to admit I was tempted, but decided to go with Prathers--you get what you paid for (sometimes).

I got 5 and there not great, but I did read his discriptions and I knew I was going to get some with defects, and ones with bad points, I felt like, oh man these are going to take some major work and imagination, but I never felt mislead, I knew what I was buying. Duc even said they weren't perfect.

I expect these blanks you send are not warped, damaged, or have points that are way out and not usable. I expect these to be usable blanks for cues, not fire pokers (<: Otherwise I do not want them.

Thanks again,

I understand you made it clear what you were expecting, and wanted, but what he was offering was another thing, I looked at alot of his auctions and all talked about flaws, I'd have to read your auction you won, I'm not tring to belittle anyone, I just thought he made it clear what he was selling. I bought 5, and after shipping only paid $38 a peice, The reason I bought them was because a friend and customer of mine, saw them and wanted me to build him one, Extra thin butt, 2 shafts,16.5oz. also I showed him the worst 3, points split,ect....He said inlay it with something.

Well, I didn't buy an auction. I bought from a posting he put on this forum where he says they are high quality blanks. Here is the posting. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=34228

I e-mailed him and then talked to him on the phone, twice, explaining what I wanted. What I got is far from quality blanks and far from what I, or for that matter any cue maker that I know would make a cue out of and sign his name on.

Dick

Dick, Thanks!!! That's where I also ordered my blanks. I didn't win an auction, I paid thru PayPal because it is an easy way to pay.
Bryan, I understand where you are coming from. I expected better full-spliced blanks from Mr. Lam. It didn't look to me like his AZ listing was for 2nds or 3rds or turds. Many times I have bought cues and cases sight unseen hoping to find a diamond in the ruff, most of it you can flush down the toilet. This deal however looked much better, but turned out to be the same--- just another flushing of my money.

Sounds like half a story here, I wonder if it gets worst. Did you happen to ask him for a refund? I just bought some Morri tips off of him, and I hope they are REAL. Either way, this will probably be the last transaction I'll ever have with him unless you post here that he gave you a refund.

Hi Guys,

sorry for the late reply, I'm actually away for vacation...currently in Vietnam. Internet connection is slow but I just want to respond to some of the comments made on the fact that I misled a few individual which I did not.

I didn't realized that John/RHN had any problem with those blanks. If I had any complain, I generally would resolve them appropriately. I never mislead anyone about the quality of these blanks..in fact I send very high res pics of these blanks and ask that you oK before I sent them out. I also mentioned that if there are any that you had problem with to let me know and I would be happy to replace them or work out something that was satisfactory. Granted, there are some blanks that are not perfect but so are the prices....prather sell full splice blanks with veneers for over $200 a piece. These blanks are meant for building high quality sneeky pete and I've commissioned several cuemakers that made them for me and they all plays amazing.

I've sold some of my full splice blanks here to several AZ members but more than 300 of my blanks are sold all over the whole...a bunch to japan, germany, italy and the phillipine, etc. I have received a few complain about blanks that were damaged during shipment and some that were totally usable and have worked out the issues with each buyer and in some cases sent the refund back to the buyer. However in most cases, I replace the blanks and gave discount to the buyer on the blanks since they could be used at short splice forearm. For less $50 a blanks, you can't really go wrong with these.

Anyway, the quality of these 300 that I'm selling are very high quality and as alway I will have pics of the actual batch that you can inspect before I ship them out to you.

Here are the finished blanks, please note I've edited some information in the first post since there were information that were missing. The butt finish was lightly sanded to remove the logo on these near finished full splice blanks. Also, the handle in the in the Full Splice with the stainless steel collar are not finished and are meant for a cuemaker to add the wrap of choice.

As mentioned in the initial post discount are given to previous buyer. Please note that these are near finished blanks...so it would be hard to cut them to your own taper.

Here are the pics:

Hi, Just a quick note as well...the finish on the full splice blank without the stainless steel is throughout the cue but is lightly sanded to remove logo. These blanks without the collar are great for customized your own joint pin and collar type. I'm expectly to sell these out in about 4 months and alway have orders that needs to be filled out I get back. Again, if you purchase form me before you will received a discount on these blanks..

Again, my oversize blanks will be available soon and our new site should be up in about a month. check it out....www.splicecues.com.

Duc.

You are right, you did send me a very good picture of these cues. They all look perfect. If thats what I would have recieved there would be no complaint. Thing is, either all the flaws are facing down or the picture is of different cues. Your picture doesnt show points with up to an inch difference in length, missing veneers, and warped butts. Tomorrow Ill post your picture of these cues that was e-mailed to me and Ill also post a picture of what I received pointing out the flaws on this so called great buy. You stated that Predator charges 200.00 for these blanks, well Platinum Billiards sells the completed cue with a 215.00 shaft for 290.00 but thats not here nor there. What is here though is the fact that you stated that these were great, full spliced prongs and sent a picture showing exactly that but what you delivered was a far cry from a great buy. I don't care what a perfect blank sells for by others, if it is unusuable it is worth NOTHING.
BUYERS BE WARE!
Dick

Hey Dick,

I think you got that wrong, I said prather not predator! Prather charge about 200 for their full splice blank with veneers. Also, as I mentioned before this is the first time I heard your complaint, why did you not contact me first until now? Its been months since you got them.

All the blanks in the photo are the actual blanks that I've sent you. Please post the pics of the blanks with the flaw you mentioned? As I said before, if I knew you had problem with them I would be happy to have resolved them appropriately. I can't resolve the problem if I don't know about them.

Regards,
Duc.
