I am not knocking the merit of anyones full splice cue but on a personal note and I do not know any thing about building a cue I like points and I have never understood why most full splice cues have square bottom or reverse points. I have seen pictures of John Davis blanks and his do come to points. The only other cue builder that I have seen that does almosted pointed reverse points in a full splice is Jerry Rauenzahn.
Most full splice cues are wrapped and it covers the points going down in the butt. Here are two cues Jerry built for me, The Koa and maple cue I sold and still regret it. The second cue the Tazmanian Mertyl and Tulip wood cue I should have in my hands shortly.
