Funny altercation I saw at the pool hall.

These 2 guys were playing 9 ball for $50 a set. One player is up $500. The player that is down wants to quit but he doesn't have any money on him. He tells the other guy "I'll pay you next time I see you." The player responds "You better get my money or you won't like me when I'm angry."

The losing player player is looking worried. He then turns to the other guy and says, "You can hold my cue until next time." The winning player takes his cue and looks at it (it's an $85 players cue), He tells him "I don't want this crap, but I'll break your hands with it if you don't get my money."

After a few mins. the losing player finally ends up paying the winning player through paypal.

This is why I make sure the cue the guy is using is good enough to cover the bet :D

I was going to say what is a guy with a cheap Players cue doing gambling enough to be down $500, but then I realized that my son won the state title in 9 ball using a Players cue and I have a Players shaft on my Ned Morris cue LOL

The guy with the players cue is actually a pretty good shooter. And the 2 players have gambled before without any problems, that's why I guess they didn't post up.

Just noticed you are from my area :)

Do these guys go to Snookers at all? I probably know them if they do.

:) I used to let people pay me with credit cards. I could run them through my phone and the money was in my account the next day.

Now ANYONE can do this with a smart phone. Just get square or paypal instant and you can run anyone's credit card right from your phone. 3.5% juice if you don't use their free card reader. 2.7% if you do.

Or use Dwolla and it's only .25cts per payment.

Soon we won't have to carry cash at all, which I personally think will be a sad day when it comes.

First off, I'm not playing without the $ just not gentlemanly. Second I'm stopping before the 10 set beat down. I'm not a poor sport but after 3 or 4 sets I know when to get drunk and call it a night. 100$ on drinks and 30$ on a cab home sounds much better than explaining why you air barreled for TEN SETS!!!

Who cares if you get the last 50..Lmao I beat this guy out of 1100 one night he went to pay me the last game I said keep it you had a bad night, makes things easyer and I bet he comes back and plays the same game next time....

It's the charge backs that can be a problem with CC. Cash is king, which is why wife's purse is full and my wallet is always empty
