Funny APA experience (for me)

I played on Monday against a 2. I am a 7, so I had to get to 7 before he got 2 games.

Anyway, this guy used both timeouts for every game, and it was funny watching three of his teammates trying to help him "get me".

I won 7-0, but that's not the funny part.

Last night I was there and the league operator was also there because he runs the Traveling APA as well. He told me that on Monday night someone came over to him and complained that one of the guys on the opposing team was cheating. He said the guy told him the player was keeping the tip of his cue on the cueball too long.

The league operator looked over, and when he saw it was me he just shook his head and basically ignored the guy.

I have been told over the years I have a good stroke...so I guess when this APA "player" saw my follow-through, he thought I was cheating.

Your a 7, he shouldn't have the chance to call two timeouts. That means each game went at least two innings . Seriously though ,as a fellow 7 what do you expect. I rather see teams try hard, then just feed a 2 to me in order to protect their other players.

Oh I wasn't complaining, and truth be told I play poorly in APA. I blame it on atmosphere. Couldn't possibly be my poor mental discipline...

Plus I was playing him safe a lot, so yeah, at least two innings...hehehe

Dont ya just hate that!!! Im a 6 so I can agree . Altho in 9 ball I had the opposing team throw a 1 on me ( I'm a 7 ). The captain and 2 other team members were 5's and he threw a 1 on me.......Was a fun match.

I didn't think a male player could be a SL2. I think that's what my LO told me once. Maybe he said he wouldn't make any male player a SL2, I don't remember.

'No male 2s' is a local rule. My old LO in Colorado had that local rule as well.

in the old days no male 2's. now you can be a male 2 except in higher level tounaments. if you make it to hlt you automatically go to a 3. at least that's how it is here in the ATL. and to your original post, i am a 5/6 and even i hate it whe they throw a 1 (nine ball) or 2 on me. i go to your strategy all the time, play em safe and watch em cry when that second time out is gone

I was every bit the APA SL2 when I began playing, and didn't win until my six or seventh match.

I have seen two timeouts on the same shot and it be a ZERO inning game.
TOs and innings have nothing to do with each other.

The two TOs on the same shot was one of the stupidest things I have seen in APA pool.
