SR 71 Blackbird The fastest plane ever. I worked with a former pilot but he would never expound on the true capabilites. Still classified but he intimated that the public has no idea what it was.

I've always imagined that it as well as regular fighter jets could get outside the atmosphere and be anywhere in minutes.

Used to watch them going in and out of Kadena AFB when I was on Okinawa back in the mid-80's. Amazing.
