The standing joke back when I was a young kid in Boy Scouts was the best tasting water in a creek had a dead cow up stream from where you were at the time !
On one of our camp outs in the Pryor Mountains in South Central Montana one of the other kids was stopped before he wandered off to go look for the dead cow !
The assistant leader who started this rumor was my uncle who has a worse sense of humor than I do ha ha !
That was my last over night camping trip as a boy scout , I got a job shortly afterward so no more goofing off trips like this as my new boss said !
