Had a friend in high school, his parents had a table in thier HUGE house. They had a "family room" upstairs between the kids bedrooms, probably a 22x20' room. But they insisted on cramming the pool table into an alcove with low cathedral ceilings, and about 3' of room on the sides of the table. You had to use short sticks for almost any shot from the side of the table....all the while ducking to walk around the room.
