Future Custom Cue to be built...Please look.

Heres a couple of cues I whipped up in paint. Tell me which ones you like and why and please take a moment to vote. I will be ordering a cue from a couple of possible cuemakers and before I narrow it down to which maker, I want to narrow it down to which cue. The brown in the cue is cocobola and the lighter is maple and of course black is ebony and if its not wood its black phenolic for the rings and cap. Thanks!!

I like #4. No particular reason, it is simply appealing and I usually prefer a very traditional cue.

In the for what it worth column. I find that now that I have gotten used to it, I really try to use the same part of the cue tip on every shot. I have a dot on the tip to make sure I get the same amount of deflection on every shot. In that way I don't forget to rotate the cue on those shots where deflection is important.

I like the idea of a flat side on the butt of a snooker cue and I am trying to come up with some sort of natural hand hold that will insure the cue is inthe same position without having to look. I can't think of a way to do this for a two piece cue but it would be useful.

if you like drawing cues..you should go on ebay and purchase a version of corel draw...there not that expensive and you can get so much more detail in your drawing..with a few weeks practice..you will be amazed what you can do wih the pic tool...i was a visual arts minor in college and i used corel and freehand..give it a try

Number 5 looks like a Coker cue that was posted for sale here a week or so ago ---- except there is inlay in the butt sleeve.

I just used paint to make something, I was really, really bored last night and was just puting thoughts to paper..er...computer. I might go ahead and get a copy of corel to mess around with though. Thanks for your input.

What's funny is I was leaning towards number 2 with number 5 in a close second. Funny how my most favorite is least favorite here so far! LOL. Well it is subjective but it's nice to get others opinions. I like number 2 a little more because the cocobola AND maple break up the butt a little but still keep it pretty simple. Thanks everyone for their input so far and please keep it coming....You guys are awesome!!

Or you could just download the GIMP for free...

Anyway, I liked #1 followed closely by #4. #5 is fugly, I can't imagine why everyone else seems to love it so much!

Yeah give corel a try...i warn you though it is additive...once you design a cue you wont stop..next you will be selling you ideas to a local cue maker..i know a guy who has gotten a couple of nice azz cues as trade for his designs

Awesome. Actually at a tourney I played in last night at a local hall there is a guy who partnered up with another local and they are making cues now. My custom will cost 500 and thats half the cost if I were to get it done somewhere/somebody else. A local player had a custom and it looked sweet, cant wait to put mine on order. Best part is its only a 3-6 month wait!!!
