fyi table in SF

Hi Jamie,
Re your alert on Soren Sogaard table in Sfran.
FYI, I knew the two previous owners of this table, and to the best of my knowledge the table has only been used in home use.
I'd like to know what your impression of the Soren Sogaard super royal table is
seeing how you have made recent purchases for your home and local room?
The current owner doesnt know what kind of rail rubber is on the table, he said its the same rubber that was on the table when he purchased it.

I sent an e-mail to Soren Sogaard with the s/n of the table and asked them for any additional info they can provide
The table is at least 15 years old or more. It has been on e-bay for
2900 starting bid, purchase for 3900. the e-bay listing had expired with zero bids. It has been listed on craigslist twice now. The first time for 3900
and now under a different listing for 3850.
I asked the owner what his bottom line price would be acceptable, he said 3850, what do feel would a legimate counter offer to that?

hanks for your input.

Yours in 3C

If all the parts are there, no stripped bolt holes in the I-beams, the heating system is working properly, and it has P37 rubber, I would pay up to $3500, no more. Although, I might allow some small concession if it was local to my location and in really excellent condition. Check here for heating element cost: http://soren-sogaard.com/shop/rubber-cushions-heating-143c1.html

I like the Soren tables, nice setup, good and heavy, and play well. Also, since they are perceived as lesser tables, by some people, the price is usually much better than competing brands. (although I heard the blomdahl has one at home) If you let it get dirty, you'll be disappointed, in that they will play quite short. Sometimes it's required to put a set of shims under the rails to raise the nose height of the cushions. (Call Jay Spielberg if you need a set) I had to do this on my home table and one of the tables at the pool hall.
