The finest tip I ever had. The leather is very fine and consistent more than any other tip including the of Moori. Plays very well Soft Medium or Hard. No question the G2 probably the best tip today. The playability is perfect does not squirt the CB. It grips great. The Medium and Hard does not mushroom and dont need to be recut.
However, the G2 wears out more than any other tip I ever had. Even when you dont scuff it, it just wears down fast. Probably due to its fine material. If you dont play much it's perfect. If you play everyday you will be replacing them every 2 months.
This is my experience. I had it on 2 shafts both shafts went out quick. Same result with two other players I know of and one cue repair/ league player.
I dont mind changing my tip every 2 months in fact I would probably like that I have a new tip every 2-3 months or so and have it installed about 40% off. But I couldnt justify paying the cost of the G2 every 2 months.

Anybody out there have any feedback on the G-2 tips that they would like to share? I like my Kamui black softs till they glaze over. Would like to get something similar except for the glazing.
Not doubting your word, I am curious how much time you and DanO play each day. I cannot imagine going through a G2 tip in 2 months. I don’t play as much as I did in the past. But I probably still average 10-12 hours a week. I also do not only use one shaft. But mostly, I use 3 shafts. The two most commonly used are pictured below. Each shaft has a G2 Hard tip. The top shaft gets about 60% of my playing time and is just over a year old. The bottom shaft gets about 25% of my time and was installed 6 months ago. While I haven’t tried all current manufacturers, I agree with other commenters that G2 are my favorite tips. Build quality as layered tips is among the best. That quality holds up over longer term use. For some time, I looked for equivalent tips to replace my old favorite Moori III Quick tips. From my perspective, G2 Hard tips play as well and do not mushroom.
