G10 Pins?

G-10 pins

I use G-10 pins in my break cues for several reasons all of which have
already been discussed here. To get around the abrasiveness issue I
use an oily insert in my shaft such as Katalox or cocobolo and finish the
pin with dry fingerboard oil.

I recently received a Schmelke I had on order with a 3/8 x 10 G10 pin, and a one piece purpleheart butt. Now I understand what G10 advocates are talking about, and I'm thinking I may never buy another cue without a G10 pin ;)

Don't give all of the credit to just the pin. Purple heart is a very good playing wood also.
