for those that have tried all 3/6 could you compare them please??
im not looking for those of you that use one or the other and say its the greatest
please those that have tried them out your experience is important to me
im curious about mushrooming with continurd play/glazing tendencies/playability with time
GRIP of the cue ball

To me, G2 mediums play as close to Moori III med as anything else. I have tried the recent moori tips and they don't grip as well as G2. I am also in the minority but I have tried kamui black and Kamui clear. I liked the clear over the standard black but still not as good as the g2.

To be fair, I would rather play with one of pooldawg8s duds than all the above with g2 the only exception. I also feel the g2 soft is too soft and kamui black soft was harder than the g2 soft. hope that helps.
 
tried kamui orig/black s/m, moori m, g2 m/h... and found the perfect one for me.. it's g2 H. also i think soft tips for english is just a myth.. i use a lot of spin and the g2 h gave me the best consistency and control. kamuis are worst due to consistent mis cueing.. no offense kamui lovers..
 
G2 H among them for me, on my sugartrees. but I found other tips.

I used to think each person prefers a specific tip hardness, but I was wrong. each cue plays best with 1 specific hardness.

my journey is long, but lets say this. you can't put a tip too soft on a stiff cue, it will make you feel the tip is pressed much when contact, and it's not part of the cue. vice versa with a hard tip on a soft hitting cue.

I tried G2 H/M/S, Kamui Black M/S. my previous Mezz played well with a Kamui Black S, but not M, and G2 M, but not H. chaging to Sugartree, I had the above feeling with the previously-good-with-Mezz KBS and G2M, I changed to KBM and G2H and they work perfect.

in terms of cueball grip, I like G2 more.

I recently bought some TAD M tips and ZAN M tips, I like them much more than G2 and Kamui. if you have a chance, try ZAN M or H, they are very good in terms of cue ball grip. the feeling is solid, but cue ball grip is very good. Same for the TAD tips. I like them equally.

I have some Kitech also and cannot wait to try them out.

The Tad tips sound interesting to me as i am requesting joint protectors from Fred Kohara for my three Tads.

I have not tried the G2, but have tried the new Moori and the Kamui. The Moori tips are pretty much just using the name to sell tips, pretty much like the new cheap crap Westinghouse and Polaroid TVs. The are nothing like the old Moori tips. I had one for about a week and had it take off.

Kamui hardens in a few months in the three Softs I have used, they still play good and keep the shape but do harden. Have a nice feel though.

Best tips I've tried so far are KiTech that Renfro sells on here. No mushrooming, very little change in softness.
 
I've tried all 3, Moori's have never been the same since the late 90's, current tips are nothing like the originals, I don't get the fuss over the Kamui's either. I liked the G2 hard, best layered tip on the current market IMO but I've forgone the layered tips for single layer tips. PoolDawgs Milkduds & Kitechs are my current favorites.
 
The G2's for my money are the best of the ones you have listed... Moori to me is just a name now.... There was a time they were head and shoulders above anything out but the processes changed and the current line seems to be merely a shadow of what they were or our minds are making them better than they ever were.....

If I was going to play layered I would likely go g2 or I woud buy the ultraskins from Tom Hay here on AZ knowing that at the ultraskin pricepoint I coud afford to change them out once a month without going broke.....
