Ga Young Kim vs X Pan

I've been saying for at least 3 years that after the top 12 on the WPBA Tour there is a very big gap in the talent department. And no none of the last 50 have a chance of winning a tournament. Look at who use to have a shot at winning a tour stop. Lee, Webb, Nelson, Elerby, Villareal, Chen, Hopkins, Laurance. IMO none of then can seriouly challenge the top players now. Do they shoot as well as they once did? Some do, some don't, and some shoot a little better that a few years ago.

But it's all the champions that have come over from other countries that are winning all the tournaments. Monica and Anna are the closest thing to a shot at it for the USA right now IMO. Johnnyt
 
Very true...dunno if it's a lack of dedication or drive? It might be even as simple as the US girls are far less talented? Not sure...whatever the case - when you are a winner and dedicated to acheivement...it becomes your lifestyle, same goes for losing - this is all I can think of when I think of the WPBA and women's pool in general.

Like they are just comfortable where they are at...only that handful does what it takes to become "exellent" at what they do...the rest (mostly Americans, sad to say) just play and almost "hope" to win...they look and talk as if they are really competing but their preformance is so below the top players that it's borderline embarassing at times. Anna just might be the "only" up and coming USA hope.
