Hi Hollywood!
My last name is actually Townsend (remarried for 17 yrs to Gabe's stepdad)...but most people don't realize that, and that's understandable.
Actually, Gabe hadn't practiced with the cue until he picked it up when he arrived in Houston for the Open. Gabe's dad, (my ex - we divorced when Gabe was 2 yrs old - 31 yrs ago) Bob Owen, had shipped it down there for him to have it just in time for the Houston Open.
I guess it helped him win!
Maybe Bob puts "precision shot making software" in his cues now. Either that, or Gabe just played awesome...it seems it was the latter,
although he loves the new cue. 
I had been looking on AZB for stream announcements for the Open, and didn't find any until yesterday. So when I found out, I tried to get the word out for others that may be interested in watching.
