When i used to play and gamble at pool we would always go up to Tulsa and play and watch. I have watched Gabe play since he was 15 and first moved to Tulsa from Kansas. I've seen him match up a whole bunch. I've seen him play jeff melton from tulsa and lost, Caleb moore giving him the 8 and he lost. and i 've seen him beat a few people for the cash. However, since he won the us open, he has alot of momentum these days and plays the tournaments well. Can he compete with archer, immonen, chamat, deul and others for the cash these days?? Has he beaten any top players for the cash. I don't remember him ever playing James Walden. i've seen james and danny harriman play a few times for the cash splitting the difference. A few years ago if you could beat James at the billiard palace you could win a truckload. those okies really support their best player and you can usually bust the whole state if your playing good.

I like Stevie's end of it. Nothing agains Gabe, I have played golf with him and he is a great guy and a great player.

yeah, james was hard to beat a few years ago, hell he may still play good i have been removed from the scene for about 3 years. last big money match he was in that i know of is: he gave michael coltrain the 8 for a 20,000 session and he beat coltrain kinda easy. michael woofed and said " i'll take the 8 in LA for another set" thats the last thing i knew of. I know he battled cliff joyner several times with mixed results.
