Gandy Hustler vs. Big G

I'm going to buy some Gandy tables next month, Hustler's and Big G's. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? Which ones are better? I've worked on a few over the years and they seem like a pretty solid commercial grade table.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them yet but the price is right and it gets better the more I buy. I have a place to store them in NJ for now.

Thanks for your help

The Big G is a much better table. The comparison would be like a Medalist to a Bristol. Maybe thats stretching it...:)

I can't remember... I remember Big G's because of the name. Its been a while but I thought the Hustler was a lot cheaper?

The Hustler and the Big G both used the same frame and hardware the only difference was the legs and the Hustler used a tappered blind. The Hustler was also available in solid wood which cost more.

Gandy Hustler from 1980

I've owned a blond colored Gandy Hustler since 1980 and I've never played on a better table. The Gandy
G had more frills, but the tables are bascially the same and play the same. Instead of wood, it is formica and will last forever. Guess I'll leave it to one of my grandkids when I get too old to play. Am having it refelted and rails replaced soon.

Gandy makes a pretty good commercial style table, not perfect but pretty darn good and usally the price is right on them as well, I bought mine for $300.
