How much rebound or action should the balls have comming off the "Points" of a pocket? I had my table recovered with Simonis 860 and with cushion/facings to make the pockets tighter. Not that much, just 1/4 inch. Seems the cushion/facings have made my pocket points dead. A pool table mechanic did the recovering for me.

sounds like you had your mechanic layer facings to get the pocket tighter. And your experiencing one of the problems with this method.
