I will be setting up a pretested GCIII soon. The table has some miles on it for sure. What would be the best way to restore the metal parts of the table. I cleaned a small part of one with some Brasso but It's scarry the difference that it came out.
The gold crowns definitely dont have the greatest of finishes!!
One of the nicest options is powdercoating. Many diff. fineshes, and very durable. You will only have to do once, so do it right! good luck!
Pwder coating is the way to go for longevity of wear and tear. polishing only oxidizes and leaves marks on your pants. For under $400 you can have all the metal parts coated they have alot of colors.
Also buy new slate screw's 14x3 dont try to reuse the old one's pain in the arse when leveling it out with old screw's.
Tap plastic has several plastic polishes you can use on the rails to bring bake some luster just go easy on the diamonds burn through them to fast when polishing.
