Yep. Still a QA problem, when the BW dealer that sells & installs a table as such, yes/no?It’s been suggested that it depends on how it’s put together, to some extent. I’ll ask the experts coming this week to set up mine.
I was expecting to see pocket angle and down angle specs too. Brunswick should know better. There's more to a pocket than the point to point width. If anyone is interested here is the pocket specs I got from Brunswick.
I was expecting that as well but that is all they gave me.I was expecting to see pocket angle and down angle specs too. Brunswick should know better. There's more to a pocket than the point to point width.
No pics? Here’s the post script. Bill P and Erik D from Jax Billiard Factory came and set up the GC6 Tournament Edition last week. They did a beautiful job. Took more than 5 hours and they were meticulous at each step. A pleasure for this engineer to watch. Corners are consistent at a smidge below 4.5“. The cloth weave is squared to the table with no tiger striping. The bed cloth is new, The rails had been changed end of last year.
These guys are true artisans, and we’re fortunate to have them in our geographic area. Thanks for all the comments on this thread.
Is the deep shelf a service youre offering , if so are gc3 included in receiving tighter pockets/deeper shelves?Soon, you will also be able to have DEEP SLATE SHELF on a Brunswick Gold Crown! The future looks BRIGHT, I hear there is some new intelligent lighting coming out too!

Awesome in every way! IMHO those GCs are the best looking tables made today. Here's the finished product. I think I'm going to change to those predator arena lights. The bulbs in there now are very strong LED flood lights and very playable as is.

Brunswick offers the Tournament Edition Pocket ONLY. We are working on offering all GC's(6's as well) and Anniversary & Centennial models. We hit a snag late last year with a slate company that wasted 6 months of our time... To answer your question directly, yes you can have it on a GC3.Is the deep shelf a service youre offering , if so are gc3 included in receiving tighter pockets/deeper shelves?
&/or a option offered by Brunswick?

People love to WASTE money on so many things. $10-15k is what you are going to spend on any modern Commercial pool table. they are all in the same area of price, $8 k pro am , $9k Predator, $7700 rasson ox $9k Rasson Victory, $11k entry level GC6. I dont think anyones price is too out of line. Here is the fact of the matter of buying the Brunswick: It is a LIFE PURCHASE.I do like the Brunswick GC tables but they only offer 5" +/- 1/8" or 4-9/16" +/- 1/16" pockets unless you get someone to extend the rails which is a fair chunk extra if you can find someone to do it.
In some locations finding a good used table then getting the rails modified really isn't an option as even finding a table within a decent distance is impossible.
Now the new option GC6 is the most expensive option of tables and you can't get 4.25 pockets if you want them. I think Brunswick has priced themselves out of the market atleast in Canada and I think they should atleast offer the option of smaller pockets like 4.25" corner and 4.75" side.
I'm not going to completely disagree, it's a lifetime purchase so looking at it that way the price isn't as far out but I still think they should offer more pocket size options.People love to WASTE money on so many things. $10-15k is what you are going to spend on any modern Commercial pool table. they are all in the same area of price, $8 k pro am , $9k Predator, $7700 rasson ox $9k Rasson Victory, $11k entry level GC6. The prices above are JUST THE TABLE< people spend far more on top for all the other fixings.
Buying a Gold Crown 6 is the best route to go IMO> I dont care to say that about any of the other tables, nor could I back up my statements with facts. I CAN IN FACT SAY THAT ABOUT BRUNSWICK GOLD CROWNS BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN MAKING TABLES THAT LAST A LIFETIME SINCE 1845.... fact

Not arguing against your sentiment, at the end of the day a new high end table of any flavor is gonna be $10k ish + tax + whatever one wants to spend on a modern LED light (ranging from $300 diy to $1000 for fancy). I agree that wringing ones hands over +/- 10% is meaningless for a personal home dream table project.People love to WASTE money on so many things. $10-15k is what you are going to spend on any modern Commercial pool table. they are all in the same area of price, $8 k pro am , $9k Predator, $7700 rasson ox $9k Rasson Victory, $11k entry level GC6. All the prices I posted are correct. Dealers are not supposed to charge more than factory direct from Diamond, Now the delivery is relative to all of this and will obviously be different from place to place, but, that is because of Diamond not having distribution anywhere close to as good as lets say: Brunswick. No matter where you are Brunswick charges a flat $400 delivery if you order it online. Not arguing against your sentiment, at the end of the day a new high end table of any flavor is gonna be $10k ish + tax + whatever one wants to spend on a modern LED light (ranging from $300 diy to $1000 for fancy). But your new Diamond vs GC6 pricing isn’t quite reflective of what I’ve seen on the west coast last few years. Always some variation and room in margins when dealing with various dealer’s delivery, schedules, location, inventory, etc. My GC6 TE & custom LED setup came in slightly under what a D. ProAm was at the time.
The most stressful part seems to be understanding & ensuring final delivered pocket specs & quality of install, regardless of brand. For that, the educational mechanic threads on AZB are worth their weight in gold. Glad the OP got his dream table.
