GCIII Restoration

Hi Everyone

Sharing the results of a two-year restoration project.

Removed years of dirt, bad paint jobs, Formica and mismatched parts. Remade frame elements. Stripped it right back, sourced original and custom parts from the US, Germany, Taiwan, Ireland & the UK, repainted, and designed new logos and decals.

The goal of the restoration was to tie it into the interior of the house and to have an activity for the family (3 young boys) to play together. A local snooker table tech helped me level expertly, and it plays like a dream.

It was a lot of work, but we think the work paid off. Looks right at home in the space now.

Gained tons of expertise and ideas for AZ Forums, thanks everyone!

What are the dimensions of the room? Probably gets more use as a pool room instead of a dining room. No drapes to reduce the glare and shadows when playing during the day? Sharp looking table, works well in white matching the rest of the decor...

The brown/tan cloth probably would not have been a considered option for me, but I think it looks fantastic given the table and your room. Sharp set up!

The room is approximately 20ft by 15ft. We just built the house in Ireland, and will buy blinds/drapes soon (pool table was priority, it has been in storage for years before restoration). However, not much sun in Ireland. We have a separate dining room, and wanted the table in the open-plan living area

Really like your flooring, yes the table also, but the flooring is really nice.
