German Masters 2012

Whatever happens in the finals, I think it's significant that the Rocket is
in it. He's still got it.
With his position on the ranking list vulnerable...KAPOW!...he's in the finals.

Hmmm. Not sure about that. He had Stephen lee and Matthew Stevens in the semis and quarters - they're a bye for Ronnie.

Ronnie's a bust flush. Nothing to see there anymore.

He was losing 4/nil in an early match.
Ronnie just needs a wake-up call.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of his. I think he acts like a
spoiled brat....but the man can play. Sometimes I think Alex Higgins
was his mentor.

My final of choice would be Mark Williams and Judd Trump....
...I like the way they send it.

That red attempt down the cush
by SM was a liberty you cannot take with RO. Gotta keep it tight

So the Rocket gets the job done.
He retains his top 16 position.
Gives him a little leeway to slack off again.
But what a player!

Thaiger...what was that about a busted flush?
I think he rivered the snooker world.

Wow,

Last year Ronnie couldn't be bothered turning up to the event. This year he decides to enter and it's the real Ronnie of old who turned up, cued like a dream machine,2/1 for the win at 5-3 down with the bookies.Maybe the pressure he put on himself to select his events and try to stay in the top 16 made him focus and get back in the zone.

Ronnie,Ronnie,Ronnie,
When Ronnie is in the zone, there is no other player that can touch him , Ronnie is a joy to watch, the guy is a genius .

Right handed, left handed, using the rest etc, safety play,Ronnie has the all round game that makes the game look simple and leaves the fans in awe of his talent. If only he played with this attitude everytime.

Well played to Stephen Maguire,it takes two to tango and he tried his best but this was the Ronnie of old, lucked out early in the tournament but a welcome return to the winners enclosure.Keep it up Ronnie.

Thanks for the links pt109.Nice to see you back Scaramouche.Bob,Underclocked,The Thaiger and Slasher.

Well done Ronnie O'Sullivan.Good to see you win again.:):D:thumbup::cool:

No question he is the greatest ever when he is in that mindset.
Pity that as great as Hendry was Ronnie will never beat his records and be officially declared the greatest, time is not on his side and he has underachieved because of his mental illness. On the other hand flawed often goes with genius and if it were not for his quirk we may never had seen him attain such heights.
The way he wins from unlikely positions and the way he can turn it on and score relentlasly no matter how long he's been in his chair is remarkable, the mark of a true and complete competitor.

I sure can pick em! :D

Just thought I'd pop in and remind everyone how on top of things Thaiger was once again...

Anyway, enough with the Ronnie stuff. He's a bust flush. Just have to hope he doesn't become a grotesque parody of his former self, a la Jimmy White. I've no doubt he'll quit competitive snooker in the very near future - would be nice if he made the transition to pool.

And this from a guy who couldn't run out if the room was on fire. Awesome.

Nothing I said there has been disproved, and one fortuitous tournament victory proves nothing.

How are your 1000 'easy' roll-ups going? I'd use Golden Virginia, if were you.

Trying to think of another sport that has a "Ronnie"
we're lucky to have such a talent.

LOL, okay.

Well I haven't missed one yet. Tell you what, you should do a poll in the main forum and ask the pool players there how hard they think it is to roll the cue ball up to an object ball from a few inches behind it. I'd bet you half the forum could do it 1000 in a roll. Hell, it's so easy I'd bet even YOU could do it.

I think you're confusing what looks easy with what is easy. I seriously doubt there's ever been a professional who hasn't left it short a dozen times.

A thousand times! I don't gamble, but John Barton is forever throwing $10k challenges around - why don't you ask him for the bet? It'd be one of his bets that actually pays off...

haha ..... :)

Tell me, Champ, that video you posted of yourself butchering balls into the side cushion of a snooker table - did it ever get any better? I could only watch a couple of minutes because I was laughing too much.

And tell me, Champ, was does nobody take you up on your CTE video offers, or take any notice of you at all, for that matter? It couldn't possibly be because you cue like a drain and can't offer anyone anything, could it?

lol :) why do you think nobody takes me up on my offers including you :) i issued you a challenge personally and asked you what game you wanted to play and i would video myself and you could video yourself and we could put it on here :) that is the first time i have ever seen you ignore a post lol

Psst they avoid me because i know what im talking about and they no that too and they are careful not to get into a discussion with me because like you they are attention seekers and i back up what i say lol

what you seen was on that video was an attempt to shoot two aiming systems for the first time and show it uncut :) the last three shots i used cte/pro1, which is the system i use. have look at the video again and if your man enough take me up on my challenge i offered before. Sadly i don't think you are and i have a feeling your just a cowardly old lonely english guy in need of attention ;)

Watch the video again from start to finish and as I said to you the first time I doubt you will understand what the video is about lol I even shoot a shot with the video in between my arms too!

LOL, I'm not confusing anything with anything. I've run hundreds of "centuries" and I know an easy shot when I see it. I would say top pros leave it short on occasion because it's so easy they sometimes take it for granted (or, like most true Englishmen, they choke their brains out). Offer a top professional, say, 1000 "quid" if he can do it 1000 times in a row and see how long it takes before you find yourself scratching a broke ass. It won't be long, I promise.

Ahh, so you come on AZ and make absurd claims and meanwhile won't bet that water's wet. I'm shocked, just shocked I tell you.
