get a chuck starkey made.....opinions on wood?

ok after i tried out the double refund cue i decided i had to have one of chucks cues for my own. Ive narrowed it down to 2 different options. Either a tulipwood butt and forearm with a bem handle........or a gaboon ebony butt and forearm with a tulipwood handle. Would love to hear some opinions on the 2 combos, any pics you got, hit characteristics, rings, and which one youd go with. thanks

Both sound nice. If I had to design a simple cue without points with a birdseye handle, I'd be tempted to use Pau Ferro for the forearm and butt sleeve.

The ebony forearm might add a good amount of weight too even if its cored, not sure though.
