As long as the sweat suits showed cleavage, yes.
I think dress codes can be overdone, but I agree with the poster about the golfers. Comfortable and casual, but neat. I haven't seen anything like it since I moved South, though.
In a related thought, has anyone who knows Brian White seen Brian, ever without his cap? I've know Brian almost 10 years and I've seen it off his head once

I think that respectable dress should be required. Poker is successful because it shows constant suspense where anyone can win, and the prizes are huge. I believe that any professional event should require at reaonably professional attire. I am not saying suits and ties, just something that looks presentable.
If I could play well enough to enter the US Open - I sure wouldn't let a hat stop me.
