RSB is an open NG and things can quickly get out of hand there.
Things are said to get the goat of the other person or to one up him.
I dont believe the rotten things that were said there carry any real hate toward anyone.
Does it piss the person off ... sure it does ... that is what it is intended to do.
But not for long ... we get over it and move on.
I know I do not hate him and hope he feels the same way.
Even if he does it takes two to make an argument and I am just not willing anymore.
He may not like me but I doubt very much there is any "blach hole" of hate.
I know there is none from this end.
That is why I think you are wrong.

However ... if you see things getting out of hand between us just let me know and I will remove myself from this board just as I have removed myself from RSB.

I wasn't trying to make an argument out of anything. My response wasn't even to you personally, it was to the other forum members and I'm sure THEY knew what I was talking about. If not, you just verified it with the next one in over 3 billion + posts that you'll be making because you can't refrain from responding to anything or anyone or starting a thread to suck someone in.

My son was on the internet way before me and had done administration for some forums. Once I was telling him about something that was going on online and his response was 'oh no not another internet melodrama!',

I guess then I realized it is pretty silly to get all up in dithers about things going on on an internet forum. There is after all, a 3d world out there.

How well do we know each other, really, for the most part? I have even known those having these internet hate wars, meeting in person not realizing it is the same person, and instantly hitting it off like they are real buddies. Imagine that.

I have known actual accounts of this happening, really. Written words are interpreted through our own filters, we do not know the other person's sense of humor, we do not see that gleam in their eye nor the tone in the voice, nor do we see their body language. Research has indicated that if a person says one thing, and their body language says something else, then most people believe the body language over the spoken word.

With only the written word here, it is all too easy to take things in a way they were not intended. There is another factor too. We often forget(some of us) that the person behind the other computer is a real person with real feelings,illnesses and other challenges and also sucesses, good health,etc., and many will say things on a forum they will never say in person.

And if you think it's me, wake up and take a little trip over to RSB and read the threads over the last month. Right now, either you're totally clueless or want to take a shot at me which you like to do from time to time yourself, so piss off Larry. I don't post on RSB. Willee does. Look at all the chaos that he's created over there since the beginning of time, and especially recently. We could get some other opinions, like Smorg and a few other RSBer's concerning Willee. Ooops...forgot...Smorg already swore off Willee and wants to have absolutely nothing to do with him. He also suggested that Willee go elsewhere. What does that tell you, that he's just starting shit too?

I have just got my new computer on line and only been on this board for a few days so I am a real newbee about this stuff.
I have been to a few of the usenets and just was not impressed.
A friend told me about this place and it loks like a really bunch of nice people and a lot of really good pool information. Are there other places like this?

What I am finding it hard to understand is why that drivermaker guy is attacking williecue after he made such a nice and polite post explaining he does not want to get into any arguments. It really does look like he is trying to pick a fight with him. Are there a lot of people like that on this board?

I hope you like it here. No matter where you go on the internet, forums, newsgroups, email groups, you will always find those who do not like each other and insult each other. And being new, you really do not know if drivermaker and willie have a 'history' now, do you? And neither do I.

In real life there are those who do not like me and those who do. I accept this. Many talk behind my back. It perhaps is not ideal, but this is part of human nature to gossip and I got to the point where I recognized that each of us, after all, are just human and nobody is perfect.

The reason conflicts seem worse online is IMO threefold, one of which I spoke of in my previous posts with having just the printed word to evaluate a person. Secondly, if in the 3d world, I know that two people do not like each other, I avoid them or avoid those who do not like me and vice versa. Here you see it all, it is in your face, you are exposed to conflicts you would choose not to be around in your 3d interactions. Thirdly, the pen is mightier than the sword. There is something about the written word that can cut us to the quick more so than when spoken outloud. That same written word can have a positive effect also.

So, try not to worry, or pass judgement on anyone, just do your own thing, be happy, and enjoy chatting pool and laughing.

Well, I have no desire or inclination to ruin the AzB Forums by arguing with William Lee (WilleeCue). I would hope that the moderators here would nip it in the bud, even if that meant banning me from this site (though I have 5-6 years posting here without any major problems). I also don't like to have myself or any of my friends here duped into taking sides or arguing with certain individuals. With that said, I am not entirely convinced that 'chokenstroke' is not William Lee (or WilleeCue).
Allow me to present my suspicions: 1st) 'chokenstroke' signs on and shows up only hours before WilleeCue announces that he is leaving the newsgroups for good and plans to go to a 'moderated forum'. 2nd) Both 'chokenstroke and WilleeCue admit that they are cuemakers. 3rd) Though only here less than 24 hours, 'chokenstroke' has posted 14 times, which was the m.o. for WilleeCue in the ng (uncontrolable posting). 4th) 'chokenstroke' came right into the thread in Azb concerning myself and WilleeCue and took a few shots at me,including everyone doing a google search on me. NOW, pay very close attention to these next two: 5th) In only his first few posts here, chokenstroke' used the word "possably" (instead of 'possibly'). Please click on the enclosed link below to see something very interesting. 6th) In the Azb 'Ask A Cuemaker A Question', 'chokenstroke' says, "replace the chuck with a 6 jaw true set one." I thought that sounded familiar and found the comment previously posted below by WilleeCue. COINCIDENCE ? You be the judge.

Boring the jaws of your lathe just like you did with the Hightower is an option but that only fixes the problem at one point. You might want to consider a 6 jaw "run true" chuck that will allow small adjustments
