Getting the Best Deal at Valley Forge

After 9 years of playing league, I'm finally going to the Allen Hopkins' Super Billiards Expo in March, and mainly to get a new break cue (I'm leaning towards the Predator Sport BK2) and two shafts for my shooting cues (undecided between the OB1 or a predator). So with this in mind I have two questions:

1. Since I'm undecided about what type of shooting cue shaft I want, does anyone know if there will be tables there, where I can try each shaft out? It would be nice if I could put each shaft on my cue to see how each hits.

And

2. I want to get the best deal possible, and every one keeps telling me to arrive on Saturday or Sunday, because I'd get the best deal, since most vendors are (at that point) trying to unload merchandise they don't want to carry back. But, I don't want to wait too late and have the vendors run out of what I'm looking for, and I end up not getting what I want. I was planning on heading up Friday (and not staying over night), but would I do better waiting until Saturday or Sunday?

What to do? What to do?

OB Cues and Predator usually have booths with tables so you can try out their shafts no problem, along with the BK2. I don't know about getting the best deal though, but don't be afraid to bargain.

Yes, there are tables for trying shafts.

Bring cash, it always gets you the best price.

There are tables available to try out cues on. Don't be afraid to haggle. I too have heard that Sunday is the best day to get a deal.

I would think deals are more often to be found on custom cues rather than shafts. Those shafts have a wider market and will sell eventually, so I don't think they'll be priced that aggressively. But of course I could be wrong, who knows with the way the economy is.

You may get a deal on a break cue, but not a Predator or OB shaft IMO. Saturday may be best for break cue, but if you wanted a custom I would get there Thursday so you could see a larger variety.
