gibson guitars raided, cue makers next ?

gibsons ceo held a news conference today.

he stated their wood is properly imported. he also stated the feds didnt specifically state what they were investigating but suggested wood that was imported from india and not finished by indians was illegal.

he commented that gibson was implicated in criminal activity but was not charged with anything and that was plain wrong.

no word yet from the feds.

It's about 1/2 hour.

The ceo states that they did everything legally and has proof. Customs ok'ed the shipments, etc. and Gibson has NEVER been charged with a crime.

But still the wood was stolen and will not be given back...and 100 Persons are out of work. Could any Person do this to Gibson and not be considered a criminal? Of course not.

We live in a police state, in case anyone was wondering.

...having worked for this company through the 90's, I happen to be familiar with some of the tid-bits surrounding the Madagascar connection for Ebony and Rosewood. It was negotiated at the close of WW1, with a direct connection to the indigenous ruling parties there, (not the British). This is another case of the LAW of the United Nations over-ruling the U.S. Constitution on U.S. Sovereign soil.
For the record, the Queen, on that TINY Island, don't own INDIA, despite ALL those years of Rape, Pillage, and occupation by the British East India company. "It's TIME for Colonized to REVOLT!!!"
Here and there it sounds like!

P.S. Gibson CAN'T survive with-out Rosewood and Gaboon Ebony from Madsagascar!

In 1964 or so, a new music store opened in my home town. They held a drawing for the grand opening. And new Melody Maker! I went in the store everyday and put some sign up cards in the bucket as I was in a rock band and needed an electric.

I won! I was so proud of that thing and it was a great instrument. I sold it and my Fender Bandmaster amp for college money. oops.

I didn't realize the corruption in the wood industry, as I'm sure many of you have. sigh

The ceo also indicated that anyone who sells or resells a guitar with those woods on it is a criminal. Thank God I sold it in 1971...don't tell the authorities, please!
