Andy just sent my cue to me this week....
A titlist conversion.
Andy and Vicki were great throughout the order and build and shipping out the cue to Me,
Right on time.
I Highly reccomend Andys cues,
I feel very fortunate to have this cue, from Andy,
Considering the level of cue He presently building for His customers,
to take time and put a Really nice players cue in my hands,
Is Great!

Andy Gilbert Cues

I have to totally agree, I also recently got a cue from Andy. He and his wife were just great to work with and considering this was my first try at a custom Andy was very patient with me. The cue I received played like no other cue I have ever owned. It has a nice crisp hit and feels just right in my hands.

another picture please

taking pictures that do (the cue)justice ) Andy would roll over if he saw this for an add. Thanks for the attempt. I have a 2007 Gilbert His pts are always Colorful! mark

Duane,

Do you have any other of Andy's cues besides this one? Reason I ask: I recently picked up a Gilbert and really like the hit of the cue (that's a bit of an "understatement"). I was curious...and was going to post the question in the main forum days ago...whether this conversion plays like other Gilberts? I always hear/read tons of positives with regards to Andy's cues, but I wonder if a conversion or a cue made from someone else's blank (e.g. Davis blank) would have the same "hit" that some of the more well-known cuemakers are known for...

Nice cue by the way...;)

Presently this is the only Gilbert cue that I have...
EVERY One that I have tried have all been exceptionally great hitting cues,
without a doubt...
This is the only titlist by Andy that I have hit with,
definitely one of the best playing cues I have owned.
I sent the blank to Andy and He built it to my specs-
And Did a great job!

I have quite a few Gilbert conversions, in fact the cues in my avatar are Gilbert conversions, and I also have quite a few Gilbert Custom cues. To me there is not a major difference in hit in the conversion cues versus Andy and Vicki's custom cues. I do, however feel a difference in Gilbert full splice cues and the Titlist conversion that is a 29" solid, unwrapped, uncut cue sort of like a Titlist sneaky pete. I really like the shaft taper on Andy and Vicki's cues and for me that really makes the hit. As for some of the more well known cue makers, spend some time with Andy at the DCC or other shows. He's becoming pretty well known and his win at the 2011 ICCS will only add to that
