I just had my new glasses made...3rd pair....prescription change necessitates doing this.
Went to the store....tried tinted glasses on...non-prescription versions.....then tried my
shooting glasses (3 pairs different colors) and then my old pool glasses that were there
for new lenses.
My selection was to stay with polycarbonate lenses for the hardness & scratch resistance
but included anti-glare.....the lenses are not tinted. I decided I didn't want to have to remove
the glasses for relief on the nose brow and eye vision as well. I mean you're basically looking
world through a prescription and when you're not focused on shooting a shot, you still see the
peripheral long distance world out of focus. This just creates mild eye strain so removal of the
glasses when not playing (opponent has the table) is what I do.
Anyway, I found the tint of little improvement and more of a question...."I think I'll tire of this.".
So I opted for the clear lenses in my eyewear which are Ray Ban Sunglass frames. I have
both reading glasses and distance glasses so it always a hoot to work with my optometrist on
arriving at a new prescription but it works incredibly well though....total clarity from 18" to 11'.
We actually place objects on a conference table at varying distances and experiment....Voila.
