I was wondering, i got a kamui medium tip which is pretty glazed, as I don't have a scuffer right now. How is it comparable to kamui hard in terms of feel ?

Are they still a completely different tips and glazing doesn't have anything to do with it?

I had a kamui black medium put on, while my previous tip had been a kamui black hard. I do virtually zero tip maintenance(yay for $70 in tip tools) and I can't really tell the difference now. Maybe if I shaped it.. but, I figure, flat's a shape, too. It goes pretty well with a Z2 shaft that has a slight rattle to it.

I am in the mode of trying these things out lately as well. I have a brown super soft on one shaft and a black medium on another. The medium definitely feels harder than what I would deem medium.

Be interesting to hear other's opinions...

The glazing should not affect the feel much, but it will sure as heck affect your ability to spin the ball without a miscue. I'd not leave it like that.

I find that a Kamui Soft is pretty hard feeling for a soft, it's like a medium in any other tip I tried, people that play with a Med or Hard must really like a hard hit.
