Glove vs Talc.

I agree.

Just don't use the pad..... Put 3 or 4 drops on the shaft itself and use a paper towel or your fingers to even it out. Then follow the directions and let it sit for a half hour, and then buff with a towel.

Now I just need the slipstic teeshirt.

We have been trying to figure out what wiould be more useful, a T-shirt or Cap. Maybe there are better things. Just don't want to go through expense and find out it's useless.

Not all Pool halls I visit have talc available in the playing area. In fact only one does. I carry a players glove but I generally don't like to use it. It certainly helps with any shot I might play with a closed bridge but I don't like the way it fells on open bridge shots. Also, the stigma of wearing a glove is always there for me.

Does anybody here just bring their own baby powder? A lot of the halls I play in seem to be quite humid or at least my hands get clamy after sometime playing. I remember seeing Gabe Owen in the US open placing his hand in baby powder after almost every shot he played.
I vote for wash hands real well with soap and water prior to playing... then towel off cue if necessary to rid it of oils... no need for talc or glove IMO

I'm sure he has a sponsor but I'm also pretty sure he wouldn't wear it if he didn't think it helps his game.

I think Cuetec has probably given him dozens over the years... :-)
Anyone that has to play with a Cuetec cuz that is the only way to get money out of being a pro (Sponsorship) needs to wear a glove... If you have played a fiberglass cue you would know what I mean... Rubbing the fiberglass with your hands gives it a static field which feels real strange to me... You need a glove with fiberglass cue to get rid of the that fuzzy shaft feel... and if you dont want to discharge static electricity anytime you touch metal...

Maybe I just drag my feet too much, but it doesnt happen with my custom cues made of wood... Of course the pros Cuetecs have custom wood shafts right... I just wish Pros could make enough money with tour winnings that they could play what they want not the crap they shill... I wanna know the the pros like to play with....
