Pat Diveney told me to use Gorilla Super Glue, not the gel, so my search is over.
Nice thing about the Gorilla (polyurethane) glue is that:
1. It uses moisture (water) as its catalyst / hardening agent. So you don't have to worry about things being completely dry; in fact, you use water to get the glue to "wick" or follow the water into the material.
2. It expands as it cures, thus further following into / filling crevices, etc. Cyanoacrylate (CA) glues actually shrink when curing, and these have a tendency to "pull away" from material if the parts don't mate 100%. (This is also the reason why some tips may have a "clicking" noise, even though the CA glue bonded around the perimeter of the ferrule and tip. That is, there's a bubble or gap inside, which could've been caused by the tip or flat part of the ferrule being slightly concave, and the glue "pulled away" while curing.
Had a break cue where the Samsara tip kept popping off of the phenolic ferrule. Nothing done with CA made any difference, whether that be making the parts completely flat / mate perfectly, roughening the surfaces, etc. Switched to polyurethane glue (Elmer's in my case), and that tip never popped off again!
