Glue on felt

Hello I am refelting a 1967 Foremost 8 foot table with ball return. The original felt was backed felt and glued to the synthetic playing surface. Can I glue unbacked felt to the surface? :confused:
 
Yes, You can. 3M Scotchweld natural 10 (applied with a roller) or 3m super77 (Spray)
 
I just finished putting felt on my Gold Crown, I used the 3M 10 glue, I tried rolling the glue on and it just made a huge mess, I ended up using a 2" wide foam brush/pad to lay down glue. I did not waste as much glue and it went on much cleaner and more precise. I only had to put a 2" wide stripe around the edge of the slate and on the felt, I don't know how much you will need to glue.

You put 2" on the slate, not the edges...?
