Going to the Fast Eddies 9 Ball Tour

I've been to many of these 9Ball tournaments run by Lewis Jones and Paul Blank, but this one is unique. No players auction! I'm anxious to see how things go. I believe most players will still support the tour. I have known Lewis and Paul for several years and am sure they will adjust to make it a great weekend. These guys have made pool in Texas fun again!!

Planning the trip and coordinating with other players is always tricky. I like to make a road trip weekend out of it, but many just go by themselves (which is easier). The day started out with me and a buddy leaving after lunch. It's 6:30 now, 3 1/2 hours to the poolroom, and we still haven't left. Too many honey doos!! Looks like a Saturday am trip now. I hate getting up early!

Well it's almost 8 and my ride is still not here!!! This is another reason to go by yo self!! The tournament should start on time since the players meeting will consist of rules review and announcments only!! Hope we make it!

We made it!!

We rolled in right on schedule. No tickets or accidents!! It's clear that everybody that could be here IS here. 91 players including such notables as Jeremy Jones, Charlie"Hillbilly"Bryant, James "Bastrop" Davis Sr, Jui Lung Chen,Sylver Ochoa,Hall of Famer Belinda "The Texas Belle" Campos Calhoun & numerous other top players.

Looks like its gonna be a great tournament!!

I hear Bigtruck's first match was hill-hill and BT won because Ugota Buy scratched on the 9-ball and then Ugota Buy made Ray shoot it in for the win. Even though Bigtruck mis-cued, he fortunately sank in the 9. Good job, BT.
