Not sure what you mean by refinished to look like a GC 3 or 4. Do you have a pic of these tables? I sold my GC1 to make room for a diamond and after playing for a bit on the diamond I think I wouldnt mind going back to a good quality GC1.

Where are these tables located?

I've got a diamond pro coming to be installed next weekend. I'm so excited, but reading your post.....why do you not like the diamond?

Maybe ours are on the same truck. Diamond told me I'd be playing on it next weekend. So I'm hoping for a friday or sat. delivery

i agree with uwate on the diamonds... I been playing on some goldcrown 3's and also some diamond tables (not sure which ones) but im very displeased with the diamond tables. Maybe its just a south florida thing, uwate is here too, but ill stick to the goldcrowns.

The diamond tables just dont seem to play as well IMO.

Not to change the subject of the thread but I like Diamonds and would love to trade my GC for one:)

Diamond tables

I think personally if you don't play at a pro level or real real close to it a Diamond table will not bring you alot of pleasure except to look at. The pocket shim angles along with the longer slates going deep into the pockets along with the small pockets really will tighten up a loose stroke or make you break your stick trying to make balls. At least 95 % of the people that own a table own it for pleasure not for building on the pro level skills they already have. So in many cases Diamond tables will just make you grind your teeth , but man they are pretty and I have been thinking of getting rid of my 80's Gandy comercial table for one. But the differance is so minimal.
I think Daimond tables are a cut above the rest these days even those thicker slates they use are a testamint to the quality fit and finish they demand!
