Gold Crown II question

I am thinking of buying a GCII for a good price, the seller said he has put new pockets and rails on the table. He put Accufast rails on, but the table needs the end piece that holds the balls. It is a drop pocket table. Where can I get the end piece and how much do they cost. Are the GCII pretty decent tables. I welcome all advice. Thanks, Tom

accustfast cushions won't work on a GC, they are K66 and GC's use K55. try classicbilliards.net for the parts you need.

I think the GC II model was the best overall. Thicker tubs and stretcher, good solid frame, doweled slate, cool fiberglass trim, Good counters, castings that last and don't look like hell after 2 years, Great rubber, deep shelves, nice trim in front of table, just recess the nameplate a bit for a better fit I would as usual and on GC'3s also if needed. Probably a few other reasons I like them and both the GC 1 and II are easy to change complexion color, plus they actually look like they just came out, after the II I think they went backwards, then forwards a bit with the IV and V. BUT, a mint GCII is bringing twice its original price. NOT A GC# III, IV V will ever come close IMO.

WHOOPS adjustable feet, frame brackets 5 times thicker then the GC 3 4 and 5. REAL steel bolts and screws and more! That my friends was when BRUNSWICK was an American Company. I value a mint GC II at $5000 which would be delivered and set up with new cloth, Centennial balls and of course it must and should have the matching cue rack.

Does anyone know where I could buy a end piece for the GCII, the one with the ball storage, and how much would it cost. I talked to the person that installed the Accufast cushions, he said there is no difference in the playing on the table. The rails are just a little thinner. You think that is true. Does the II have adjustable feet, I thought that came later. Thanks, Tom

Some of the late model 1' had a djustable feet, as they phased in the GC 2's.

Ken Hash at ClassicBilliards generally has just about any part that you could want. Except accufast cushions for a GC. Thinner isn't the issue-heighth from the playing surface is.

Overall,I like the GC 2's better than 95% of the tables out there made today.;)

Thanks for the info, I have heard from Classic and when I get a photo of the table I will know more. Sound like they were good tables. Tom
