How do you remove the rail trim on the gold crown III, looks to have brads in the wood but how do you get them out without gouging up the wood. I want to remove it to polish and repaint or just sand to a nice finish.
thanks gary

I would just order new from classic billiards. I took mine off and began the dent removal and sanding and polishing route....I probably have 500 hours of time in my life on my buffing wheels and i decided it just wasnt worth it. If you look closely you can see the brads go in at an angle all in the same direction - take a small punch and start tapping the end of the trim in the direction the brads were shot in. After you get a couple of inches pushed out the groove on the other end put the rail in a vice and you can grab the trim and pull it on out the groove - you are not pulling it out of groove perpendicular but pulling it in direction of groove - comes out easy!

ok thanks I will try that, my plan was to use the wire wheel and buff on it and then repaint it and clear coat. Im not going back with the same color.
thanks gary
