Can any mechanic here tell me whether or not a Gold Crown light can be mounted directly to the ceiling without hanging it?

If so was it made to do so or do I need to do any modifications?

Thanks in advance for your help.

p.s. I know this doesn't fall under you specific expertise but I thought that some of you might have had some experience with this.

go get 4 sticks of allthread and mount it like that pvc over threaads hint hint
