Gold Crown model differences

Are there any differences between models worth considering before making a purchase for a used table (besides price of course)?

There was a really nice sticky here up until

a week or so ago which outlined the time lines and differences.

Cooler heads prevailed however and they "unstuck" it. It's here in the archives still, good luck finding it.

Gold Crown tables

In my experience,the older Gold Crowns(I's and II's) are better overall tables than the newer models. Although,I think that the Gold Crown V seems like a pretty well made table. I would stay away from the III's and IV's unless they have been in a HOME environment and not beat to heck in a pool hall,they just don't hold up as well. Have someone check out the table for you who knows what to look for is my best advise.
